- Deer Island Treatment Plant is a 350 MGD wastewater treatment facility owned and operated by the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority.
- JKMuir evaluated funding and financing opportunities for several proposed project alternatives utilizing digester gas. Proposed alternatives included steam turbine generators, various Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generators and battery storage. We identified grants, low interest loans, and energy credit programs that could offset the capital cost of each alternative. We also identified opportunities to create a long-term revenue stream associated with beneficial gas utilization. Our evaluation included identifying financial benefits available through national, regional, state and utility-based programs, along with regulatory drivers. These were incorporated into the alternatives analysis.
