  • Feasibility evaluation conducted for DC Department of Public Works to accept food waste for co-digestion in their existing anaerobic digesters. The project supported DC’s Zero-Waste initiative and is part of the landfill diversion and decarbonization strategies for the City. The analysis included recommendations on appropriate technologies for the pre-processing of food waste, determination of tonnage of organic waste to be accepted for financially successful operation, analysis of potential impacts on the treatment process, and analysis and recommendation for project financing approach.
